We work with several businesses across Sarasota, FL including surrounding barrier islands, like Siesta Key, Longboat Key, and Lido Key.
Mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing are included in every maintenance visit.
Lawns never get unruly on our watch! We only allow your grass to grow a maximum of 6 inches before taking the mower to it. The blades are routinely sharpened for a sharp cut and frequently cleaned to minimize the risk of lawn disease.
Our team follows the all mighty '1/3 rule' to help grassroots grow deeper and stay protected from drought and wear and tear. Weekly or bi-weekly mowing services are performed depending on the time of year. Weekly mowing begins on April 1st and ends on November 1st. For the winter season, we switch to a bi-weekly schedule and continue it into the spring season.
Certain grass types should remain at an average height to defend against disease and insects looking to eat or make homes for themselves within the roots. We like to keep St. Augustine and Bahia grass between 4 to 4 1/2 inches high, while Zoysia typically stays at 3 to 3 1/2 inches. Curbs, sidewalks, trails, and other hard-edged areas are also cleaned and trimmed. Other areas of your landscape including trees, shrubs, and flower beds will be vertically edged as well.
Want to give your lawn a little extra fertilization? Then skip the bagging! We will use our mower to mulch the clippings so they can breakdown and release organic matter into your grass and soil. Grass clippings are mostly made of water and contain nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium; all the nutrients found in regular lawn fertilizer.
Unlike other lawn companies, we like to clean up after ourselves! Our team will always blow leftover trimmings, dirt, and debris away from your property and nearby sidewalks, streets, and curbs.
Unfortunately, Florida weather can be very unpredictable. So, if we ever have to miss a mowing appointment, we'll aim to reschedule within that same week!
Flower beds are cleaned out and sprayed with a high-quality herbicide solution to prevent weeds from springing up.
Landscape beds should be full of flowers, not weeds! Our post and pre-emergent herbicide solutions keep your stone or mulched flower beds clean and free of weeds. Spot treatments can also be performed as needed or applied as part of our fertilizer treatment. We'll remove any other trash or debris we come across whilst cleaning your flower and plant beds.
Performing routine lawn fertilization and weed control treatments will win you a stunning lawn.
No lawn is perfect, but weeds need to know they are always unwelcome on your commercial property. Yearly fertilization gives yards the protection they need to fight off weeds from overtaking and growing in place of fresh grass.
It's important to note that Sarasota County enforces a fertilizer ban during the summer, so our company is not allowed to use fertilizers that include nitrogen or phosphorus from June 1st through September 30th.
Our lawn fertilization with weed control herbicide services starts in February and runs until June 1st. However, we do apply an iron and micronutrient-rich fertilizer, free of nitrogen, for St. Augustine and Zoysia grass in July. More information about our lawn fertilization schedule and the types of fertilizer solutions we use can be found on our main fertilization page. (link needed)
Don't forget that your palm trees and ornamental shrubs need care too!
If your palm trees and ornamental shrubs are the highlights of your property, then you'll need to make sure they're tended to just as much as your lawn! Pruning your shrubs keep them in good shape and encourages new growth, leaving your plants looking much fuller and healthier. This is done every 4-6 weeks to ensure a neat and clean appearance.
Our crew can cut palm trees that are 12 feet or lower once a year. Any broken or dead fronds will also be removed, especially if they're a potential hazard to pedestrians, vehicles, or other nearby properties.
Palms trees and shrub fertilization is applied 4 times a year in January, March, May, and November. All fertilization treatments are distributed by hand and carefully applied to prevent the fertilizer from coming into contact with stems or trunks.
Haven't checked your sprinkler system in a while? Our team is trained in irrigation maintenance!
A dry and yellowing lawn is an unsightly site for employees and visitors. If your grass is underwatered, this could lead to a problem in health and appearance down the line.
We will inspect the entire irrigation system, controllers, and direct water sources. Our crew will make sure all the rotors, spray heads, and operational programming are functioning properly and that the backflow preventers and filters for the water sources are cleaned and in working order.
